Pick-a-what?

Picori: The Story App. Starting with an inspiration, users browse through a uniquely curated list of images. An image can be anything and take you anywhere. Once you pick your picture, you create a story and share it. You don’t have to share your story if you choose not to or allow others to find your stories organically. What if you don’t know what to write or you find inspiration in an existing story, that's the best part, you can continue any story another user has already created without changing their content. Think of it as crowd sourced story telling, to the max! There are no limits to how many chapters or branches a story can have.

Picori: The Story App was born out of our creativity and a need to share in a simple, easy way. Our team has always been creative, and from an early age we’ve dreamed of being world renowned authors, highly regarded movie producers or really just any profession where we could let our creativity run wild. Those dreams may not have come true yet, but even in the careers where we eventually landed, there were kindred spirits. We found friends that shared a love of reading and creating stories. We would find pictures and tell wonderfully fun and outlandish tales. Eventually, we came up with the idea for Picori!

Can a story really go on forever?

If you want it to, it can. While stories do have a natural ending, we do not cap or limit the total size that a story can be. Anyone that writes a story can continue it for as long as they like. If you only want a short story, you can make it short or if you want an epic trilogy, have at it. Other users can add chapters as they see fit without changing what the original writer created. They have an option to add another chapter to the story at any point where the original creator has stopped and likewise, a different user can add to their creation. By allowing our users to continually add to each others’ stories, there is always new and exciting content to read. Additionally, we regularly add new inspirations so there will always be something interesting to see and spark off new ideas. If this sounds too good to be true, trust us, it isn’t, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure you have a great experience using the app. Our top priority is user experience and allowing a safe space for our users to be creative.

So what’s the catch?

No catch. Really, the app is free to download and use. You can create an account, browse images and create all the stories you want, for free. You can share your stories and save other stories, you can even save inspirations. While the free version is ad supported, there are options to subscribe to go ad free and receive premium content or if you like what we do you can buy us a coffee, or not (but we’d love if you do).
